PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership in the ongoing development, implementation, management and assessment of the District’s athletics, activities and physical education programs. Staff development, curriculum/materials management and the recruitment and facilitation of district athletics and physical education programs are also the responsibilities of this position. The Director of Athletics, Activities and Physical Education, must have proven leadership skills in planning, supervising, mentoring and leading teams, as well as managing workload allocations and the performance of the team. The director must establish effective communication with WIAA, school athletic directors, school administrators, Chief of Secondary Schools, and Deputy Superintendent of Schools.
