(RENTON, Wash.) - The 2009 Emerald City Kickoff Classic (ECKC), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is a day long event that showcases several of the top high school football teams in Washington state. Eight of the featured teams in this year’s ECKC competed in the 2008 State Football playoffs. The event is being held on Saturday, September 5, at Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.

- 9:30 a.m. 2A Archbishop Murphy vs. 2A Lynden
- Noon 4A Kennewick vs. 4A South Kitsap
- 3:00 p.m. 3A Capital vs. 3A O’Dea
- 5:30 p.m. 6A Jesuit (Oregon vs. 4A Skyline
- 8:00 p.m. 4A Bothell vs. 4A Issaquah
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Adults are $15 each, students (with valid ASB card) and seniors (62 and over) are $10 each, and children under the age of five are free. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and tickets are good for all of the games at Qwest Field.
